Overview
The C1170 is a family of heavy-duty off-road military trucks used by the Nivalen Defence Force starting in 1981, to facilitate easier handling of containerized modules and cargo without the use of trailers. The C1171 Logistical Handler Vehicle variant, a 8 tonne 8x8, can reach a top speed in excess of 85 kilometres per hour on-road and carry up to 10,000 kg of cargo, or 1 standard ISO shipping container. The chassis proved capable in the most rugged terrain, and was used extensively in the GWOT. Production of the C1170 stopped in 2002, however variants remain in active service today.
