Introduction The M270 Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) is a highly mobile, armored rocket artillery platform. Mounted on a tracked chassis, it can fire a variety of rockets and missiles with precision and rapid succession, providing powerful long-range fire support. The M270 has the capability to hold two launch pod containers (LPC) totaling up to 12 rockets in a single launcher vehicle.
