**LORE**
The original "Hungerburgbahn" was a funicular railway that opened in 1906 and connected Innsbruck's city center to the Hungerburg Castle. After more than 100 years of operation, it was replaced by a new, modern railway that opened in 2007. The new railway has a different route and now starts at the Congress Innsbruck, closer to the old town.
This railway facility is very important to me as a local, the disappearance of the saved museum wagon in 2022 hit me hard and I decided to try and replicate this awesome track in stormworks, as its memory will never fade inside me.
Today you can still see the metal bridge, crossing the Inn, the bottom station, the signature stone and brick archs and the foundation of the track siding for the two wagons, one of which was scrapped.
