This slug does not have gearing, so it's top speed is 54 m/s. Slugs are useful for mountain climbs with a high angle or super heavy weights to pull. It gets more power out of the motors than the base traction motors.
Slug designed to work with:
- Diesel Steam-Electric (10x more efficient than diesel motor)
- Diesel Steam-Electric w/ Slug
- Pure Diesel-Electric train using large motors
Unfortunately, Stormworks does not model how weight can improve tractive effort, so this slug is just extra Traction Motors.
