Bill Doors' Display Shelves
Display shelves for all your displaying needs! (and a few lockable shelves to keep your lucifeums from doggos)
This mod contains a few display shelves, shelf-like buildings that only accepts one item, and can be closed by selecting a pawn and right click on it. A control panel is available to adjust the displayed thing's position, size and rotation. And a customizable description is available.
Rooms with enough filled displays will be classified as a museum. And a new kind of joy, visiting museum is added, where the recreation efficiency is determined by the displayed item's beauty, wealth, and display's diversity. Beauty and wealth of the item in display will affect the beauty of the display shelf.
I doubt we still uses the phrase of "mission creep", but that's the exact word for me. I started it while I want some special winston waves reward for my mod, rewards that gives railguns and corresponding ammo and such. And I wanted it to be in style, instead of a humble drop pod. Which spawned the loot box idea, and I hated the box being unusable after opening, that made the few "lockable shelves" in this mod, which was only cosmetically closeable at the moment, when some dude recommended me to make it hide the item when closing, moving it to a thingowner. And, lastly, I was thinking that why not make the contents show when closed, after all these coding? Which finally gave birth to this mod.
The relevant codes are all in the framework. I think I might need it later, for a quest mod? or something. If you want to make one your own, don't put your dependency on this mod.
