[b]Death Note[/b] is a RimWorld mod that adds the Death Note, inspired by the anime of the same name.
The Death Note is not just an item, but a standalone gameplay mechanic with its own interface and rules. A colonist can write down the names of characters they have seen and cause their death after a short delay.

• A unique item — the Death Note — appears in the game
• The Death Note arrives through a special event
• Any colonist can pick it up and use it
• Only one Death Note can exist in the world
• A colonist must personally see the target during the current day
• Only humanoids with a full name can be written
• Only valid targets are shown in the interface
• Custom book-style UI
• Name writing animation
• Each name can only be written once
• If no cause of death is selected, the target dies of a heart attack
• Death does not occur instantly
• There is a short delay between writing the name and the final outcome
• Distance and location do not matter
