Filipinas Dumaguete was built in Japan back in 1961. She was later sold in the 1990's to Cokaliong Shipping lines inc. She served long under Cokaliong, and was retired in 2020. She remained idle for 5 years, and as of now, (August 2025) she was bought by Roble Shipping for their Star Philippines fleet, and is being re-fitted in a shipyard. By the time she returns to service, she will be the oldest serving ROPAX ferry in the Visayas region.
