Built for versatility, Irene can switch from high-speed interception to offshore towing with ease.
Performance & Capabilities
- Top Speed: 14 m/s under full power
- Towing Capacity: Can tow up to 400,000 mass at a steady 4 m/s
- Hull Design: 4207-inspired wave-piercing bow for stability and efficiency
- Role: SAR (Search & Rescue), Offshore Patrol, Heavy Towing, and Special Operations Support
Design Notes
Based on the proven 4207-class patrol vessel hull form, Irene’s long, narrow waterline and fine bow entry allow for high speeds in rough seas. The reinforced stern and tow winch system give her serious muscle for maritime recovery, while the elevated bridge provides excellent visibility for navigation and intercept operations.
