They weren’t the cleanest or most skilled, but their grit and loyalty made them legends. After a decade of dirty work, their reward was a mere 5000 silver and 300 gold—a pittance for their sacrifice.
Unknown to them, their final job had made them liabilities. Their company, fearing exposure, sabotaged their ship with a failsafe as a final form of seppuku, Sato saved his crew and sacrificed himself. The crew given a clean slate, their ship exploded, hurtling them toward a hostile rim world. Against all odds, they survived the crash but lost everything, including their beloved captain. Now, stranded and betrayed, they swear to rebuild and one day settle the score with those who used them as expendable pawns.
