The M244 series of Main Battle Tanks are armoured spearhead of the Oceanian Defence Force. A twin X24 turbo-diesel engine launches the Taipan up to 100km/h. With the A6 upgrade package the M244 has an updated fire control system, a longer 36 Calibre Gun, arrow head turret armour, more ammunition storage, improved layout, surface scan radar and a automatic fire suppression system.
M244A6G is the main export variant of the Taipan with reduced wait and with further NATO standardisation with the Rheinmetall Rh-120 L/55, convoy lights and the NATO CARC Woodland 3 tone camouflage.
