Baguette Arms BA-1

Built by Baguette Arms Co. immediately after WW1, this tank is slow, difficult to aim, has an engine that wants to die, and MORE critical design failures! "Features" -A gun that cannot elevate properly in certain parts of the turret traverse! -An engine that stalls if not constantly cranking! -An overly complex transmission! -A turret that is impossible to get into! -A fast firing gun that REQUIRES use of the parking brake to use! -Painfully slow turret traverse! -Armor you can poke your hand through! -Ammo located in the most-shot-at part of a tank! -A floor that may electrocute you! -A radiator that allows (say, a shell) easy access to the engine! And more to discover!!! If you couldn't tell, this tank isn't the pinnacle of tank design. That's the point. It's supposed to be a first design, and it will NOT be fixed. Lore: After Baguette Arms Co. was founded, they set about designing a tank in an attempt to receive a contract from the French government. The only thing about it that was moving forward (as the tank barely could) was the turret, meaning it had one. The fast firing 57MM BA-57/C Autocannon looked promising until it was found the tank would be required to come to a complete stop and engage the parking brake to fire it. The lack of any real armor and the placement of the spare ammo in the forward part of the tank meant rifle or machine gun fire could take out the tank in a catastrophic ammo cook-off. The BA 1 could barely move forward, as it did not use an electric drive system, and rather directly linked the engine to the wheels. It was found that the starter would have to be engaged at all times to keep the abysmally underpowered engine running. When the turret traverse and elevation were tested, it was found that the gun would be impossible to elevate more than a few degrees unless facing forward, essentially making it a casemate with more steps. The gun depression was also found to be almost nonexistent. The government dropped it in favor of literally anything else they could find. Baguette Arms promptly pretended the BA-1 never happened as fast as they could, destroying the 15 or so tanks built in any way possible. Stats: BA-57/C 57MM Autocannon (heavy autocannon) no horsepower no survivability kinda small ugly may have measles Credit to ProfNCognito for the track controller (yes i know im using it wrong)
