The Longfin III is a rescue / exploration craft, designed for anything from shallow rivers to the high seas. The Longfin III is equipped with a map/transponder locator, a weather warning system, a forward facing infer-red camera with a matching spotlight, a large (for the vehicle's size) fuel tank with a low fuel warning, a forward scanning sonar, an onboard radio, a water cannon, and a bed as well as a medical bead in the forward cabin.
The Longfin also features the "High gear" mode this should only be used in very calm water and should be turned on when the engine throttle is an 100 and the engine has hit 25RPS or higher: This "High gear" mode will increase the gearing of the engine and lift the front of the boat up onto it's wing, like a half-hydrofoil. with the front of the boat out the the water and the back propellers in the water the boat has significantly less drag and can hit much higher speeds, this however so that the boat will not try and force its front down disables the stabilizers and this should never be used in the presence of wind.
Due to overheating issues the modular engine features 2 separate cooling systems, the first is an electric radiator that can be activated with a switch near the engine starter switch the second is a heat-sink that can be activated on the wall to the left of the helm. here you will also find the bilge pumps.
*change note: I modified my engine contoller to have a RPS limiter. the engine shouldn't overheat now but I left the second cooler as a backup.
Please remember there is a hatch under the main console on the right of the helm that leads to the forward cabin.
Have fun everyone enjoy the craft I put a lot of work into it over 3 major versions and because the others don't tend to work well this is likely the only one i will put on the workshop so enjoy!
