EFT-AV (Every Freaking Terrain Armoured Vehicle)
-Vehicle Presentation-
And here I present to you, after many long nights of work, my baby the EFT-AV. The EFT-AV is an extremely versatile armoured vehicle, that was born as a cheap, versatile and efficient sub-hunter that could eventually fight land and surface targets. Armed with 3 380mm cannons straight out from a museum, it has 40~ shells per cannon, vertical stabiliser, manually adjustable trim, a huge 8 cylinder boxer engine, great land and water agility, it can both float, submerge and walk on the sea floor.
-Vehicle Specifications-
- x3 Artillery cannons
- 1 70k+ liter ballast tank
- 1 6k+ fuel tank
- 45~ km of overall operational range (maybe quite some more)
- huge cooling system for the engine, as it is meant to always operate at max throttle, which will allow u to easly keep the temperature under 50° C even after 2 hours of use
- completely automatic transmission
- pop-up headlights (so technically it is a Miata)
- great tuning capabilities (the engine is really overpowered for the task and someone with better understanding of the game could make better use of it)
- manually operated trim system which provides great stability while in and under water
- 1 huge winch connected to a floating buoy that provides air to the engine at any given moment (even underwater)
- 2 small winches, one in the front and one in the back
- max speed= 5 m/s (on land)| 15/18 (in water)
-How to Use-
If u spawn on land, u simply have to turn on the engine, put the throttle to max and then ur free to go. If u spawn on water, i highly recomend, for the sake of time, to spawn with half the ballast full of fresh water (there's a liquid spawner for that) and then u can go around and fill/empty the ballast as u need and/or wish. When in amphibious mode, the only way to control your speed is by manually operating the throttle lever, going under 6 rps will shout the clutch off automatically making u stand still. The cabin is equipped with an emergency pump if you forget to close the hatch while submerging, some basic gear (add more as u wish) and additional oxygen tanks in the case of prolonged missions or emergencies. The fuel tank is equipped with 2 gas tanks that continuously and slowly keep the tank pressurised, as I noticed that without them after 30 mins the engine would get starved of fuel even though there is plenty.
I plan to make more variants of this vehicle based on this same hull, like a self propelled howitzer with a bertha gun, a transport variant, and one with a completely overhauled transmission, much better armour and aa capabilities. The "licence plate" is take by an active duty Ariete C1 tank of the Italian Army and can easily be found on the internet
If anybody has any suggestion on how to improve this monster it will be extremely appreciated!
And as always, happy stormworking!
