Welcome to [b]Rimshar[/b] – a RimWorld mod that elements from the stormlight archive into Rimworld! This is an [i]early version[/i] of the mod with plenty more to come, but already packed with game-changing features and flavor from Roshar.
[b]Current Features:[/b]
[b]• Two Radiant Orders:[/b]
Become a [b]Windrunner[/b] or [b]Truthwatcher[/b], each with unique, lore-accurate abilities and progression paths based on the Ideals.
[b]• Shardblades:[/b]
Devastating magical weapons that cut through enemies with terrifying precision. Radiants can summon them; others must bond through special means.
[b]• Stormlight and Spheres:[/b]
Collect infused spheres during highstorms and store Stormlight to power Radiant abilities and healing.
[b]• Sphere Pouches:[/b]
Equip your pawns with pouches to manage infused spheres effectively on the go.
[b]• Highstorms:[/b]
Deadly natural events that damage pawns, animals, and wooden structures. Storms are essential for Radiant progression—plan accordingly!
[b]• Custom Research Tree:[/b]
Stormlight-themed research with custom workbenches and crafting. More will be added (Soulcasting, fabrials, etc.) in future updates.
[b]• Gems and Metals:[/b]
Used in crafting and fabrial creation. Currently, only [b]Pewter[/b] is usable. Other alloys will become relevant in future updates.
[b]• Stormlight Wall Lamps:[/b]
Aesthetic and practical lighting powered by Stormlight.
[b]• First Fabrial: Augmenter[/b]
Right now, there's only one working fabrial, but it's functional with [b]five different types of spren[/b].
[b]Capture Spren Where It Makes Sense:[/b]
• [b]Cold Spren[/b]: Found when it's below 0°C
• [b]Flame Spren[/b]: Found near fire
• [b]Logic Spren[/b]: Found near pawns doing research
• [b]Pain Spren[/b]: Found near pain (e.g., wounded pawns)
• [b]Cultivation Spren[/b]: Found near plants
Each spren modifies the augmenter fabrial in unique ways:
• [b]Flame Spren[/b]: Heats the room
• [b]Cold Spren[/b]: Cools the room to sub-zero
• [b]Logic Spren[/b]: Boosts research speed
• [b]Cultivation Spren[/b]: Enhances nearby plant growth
• [b]Pain Spren[/b]: Inflicts pain on nearby pawns
More fabrials and spren interactions are planned, including more advanced fabrials and full integration with additional alloys and Stormlight mechanics.

[b]Windrunner[/b]
Abilities: Summon Blade, Lash Upward, Flight
Progress by unlocking Ideals through heroic actions:
• [b]Ideal 1[/b]: Bond with a spren by experiencing a highstorm (higher chance during hardship)
• [b]Ideal 2[/b]: Save a pawn from death
• [b]Ideal 3[/b]: Save an [i]enemy[/i] from death
• Ideals 4–5: Not yet implemented
[b]Truthwatcher[/b]
Abilities: Summon Blade, Heal pawns, Boost plant growth
Requires misty/foggy weather for bonding:
• [b]Ideal 1[/b]: Bond with a spren after exposure to mist/fog
• Ideals 2–5: Not yet implemented
[b]Mod Settings:[/b]
• Enable/disable item movement during highstorms
• Adjust spren bonding chance
• Dev settings on some items, like spheres

This mod is in a very early stage of development. Expect regular updates and the addition of more content and features in the future. As a single developer working on my very first RimWorld mod, I have limited time available due to my professional career as a C++ developer and family commitments. Your patience with updates and improvements is greatly appreciated. Due to the mod’s early stage, I cannot guarantee save compatibility or stability. Always backup your saves before installing or updating.
