Original Description:
"I always hated how there's no way to avoid gambling my pawn lives, especially when playing an unbalanced modpack, so I decided to tweak some values myself!
List of changed things:
- Removed Minimum Fail Chance for Gene Tailoring Pod (any negative value is interpreted as 0%)
(note that the default one is still 50%)
- Every linkable has now increased max linking range 16 -> 50
- All settings regarding the linkables are configurable, with some presets included, check out the menu in More Mod Settings!
Default max number of attached:
- Super-nanite Injector Pump: 10 -> 15 (resulting in a 4h time to finish)
- Super-nanite Dialyzer, Centrifugue and Genome Stabilizer: 2 -> 10
- Simulation Drive: 10 -> 50
- Genome Macrothermometer and Stabilized Mucus Inducer 1-> 6
To be able to see every power in the Powers tab you'll have to go into Dev Mode -> Tweak Values (the second tool from the top of the screen) and look for something like ITab_Pawn_Powers.MaxPowers and tweak the slider to 15 or more. Unfortunately I don't know how to code that into the game.
I strongly recommend the mod Linkable Settings but beware that you will have to manually adjust max linked settings too as it overwrites mine.
F.A.Q:
Q: What happens when there are only one power left to add?
A: It appears twice with different weaknesses to choose.
Q: What happens if I try to add more powers than there are?
A: Red, scary, evil lines in the log. Is it game breaking? I don't know.
Q: Is there a problem if the max possible superpowers exceed 50?
A: Nope, I just wanted to round it up in the Unleashed preset. In fact, I reccomend you tweaking yourself.
Q: Why are 16 Injector Pumps tricky?
A: I'm not sure, must be related to how the game calculates it, but sometimes, especially when using multiple Gene-Tailoring Pods, I noticed some would get stuck when starting an operation, but I got a max of 3 working fine.
Q: WHERE are the mod settings?
A: Options -> 'More Mod Settings' button below 'Mod Settings', added by XML Loader.
Q: Combat Extended?
A: No reason to be incompatible that I know of.

This should work completely, as people like Mlie have claimed it only needs a package id change, and I trust their judgment, so that's all I did.
