Pawn Tweaker is a mod that lets you customize the level of gear pawns spawn with.
Place PawnTweaker at the end of your load order. This ensures it can detect modded pawns, factions, and hediff tags, and apply your changes after other mods load.
Once you export/apply it will apply the setting to those pawns immediately (Only effects pawns as they spawn not existing pawns.) when the game starts it will reapply the exported config automatically.
You can change
Apparel Budget: How much pawns spend on clothing and armor.
Weapon Budget: How much pawns spend on weapons.
Tech Hediff Budget: How much pawns spend on prosthetic, bionics, or implants.
Tech Hediff Chance: The chance for pawns to spawn with Tech Hediff.
Tech Hediff Tags: Which prosthetic, bionics, or implants types pawns are allowed to pick from.
Apparel Tags: Select specific tags of apparel/armor pawns are allowed to pick from.
Weapon Tags: Choose tags to control the types of weapons pawns are allowed to pick from.
Open the config in the mod menu to see a list of pawns to edit.
You can filter by name, faction, and already modified.
You can multiply one field on multiple selected pawns.
You can copy and paste multiple fields between pawns at once.
You can verify multiple pawns to make sure the current game values match your configuration.
You can clear all changes from a pawn. (Requires game restart to restore default values.)
The weapon and armor tag make it so you can give pawns access to gear options they don’t normally have. So you could add modded gear/armor to a faction from another mod that makes sense or even give tribal factions power armor. (late game it is a bit odd to go from empire raid to tribal so even just giving them access to mid-tier armor makes them less of target practice.)
This mod helps you balance gameplay or increase difficulty. Rather than just scaling stats you can make enemies that spawn with as good or close to your gear/implants.
I mainly use this when it starts getting later in the game to increase the difficulty as at a certain point numbers aren't enough against a solid defense and I don’t like raw scaling.
