Megumin Psycast (Now VPE Compatible!)

[/i] This mod is a two in one package that covers both the Royalty Official DLC psycasting system and [url=https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2842502659] Vanilla Pycasts Expanded [/url] psycasting system. Royalty Official DLC This mod adds two new psycasts: Bakuretsu and Sky Blast. These psycasts generate a lot of neural heat. Remember to disable the neural heat limiter! [img]https://i.imgur.com/hhlMKzj.gif[/img] The two psycasts generate 300 neural heat upon casting, so maximizing psychic sensitivity is advised if you don't want to end up passing out! [img]https://i.imgur.com/69k3Xru.gif[/img] As can be seen above, Bakuretsu casts a normal antigrain explosion. Sky Blast is a little different. [img]https://i.imgur.com/jGvJJtZ.gif[/img] Sky Blast generates an explosion in the shape of a donut, unimpeded by walls, but partially blocked by roofs (the footage only shows roof collapse damage because it's outdated). The caster can safely be within the radius of the smaller circle of the psycast, along with their allies. However, casting this while being under a thin roof is dangerous, as the explosion fells roofs, even roofs within the safe radius. Thick roofs under mountains are safe, however. Vanilla Psycasts Expanded Introducing, the bane of the upholder of order. The harbinger of chaos. [img]https://i.imgur.com/CvK3XQz.png[/img] Bakuretsu Explosion damage and radius values equal to doomsday rocket launcher. Fast Cast Bakuretsu that doesn't take much time to cast, but has shorter casting range (this isn't really much of a difference). Dusty Blind Bakuretsu that leaves smoke after the explosion (still not any different). Fire Power Bakuretsu that sets things on fire (I'm starting to see a pattern here). Super Range Bakuretsu with longer range but slower casting time (okay, yeah, these are pretty much the exact same spell). Ultra Triple Explosion radius is the same value as a triple rocket launcher, but does three explosions simultaneously. Okay, yeah, these psycasts are very similar, but I only made it so for the top psycasts to be more difficult to acquire. Comparatively about as difficult to acquire non-VPE level 6 psycasts, which the non-VPE Bakuretsu and Sky Blast are at. Now we're getting to the good parts. Ekusuporosion This does the non-VPE Bakuretsu's antigrain explosion, but has infinite range and can be casted through walls. VPE psycasts can get really ridiculous, so these will need to compete. Sky Blast The VPE Sky Blast isn't much different than non-VPE. I think its ability to attack through layers of walls is well balanced by its natural lack of range. Now to the real good part. Power Surge This psycast acts like Ekusuporosion that exhibits Power Surging mechanic. Sky Surge This psycast acts like Sky Blast that exhibits Power Surging mechanic. Power Surging These two psycasts have a unique mechanic in that the neural heat generation is equivalent to the psycaster's own maximum neural heat capacity, which increases the explosion radius and damage. The higher the maximum heat capacity, the more devastating the explosion. Since casting these psycasts generate neural heat equal to the maximum, they are technically safe to cast on an empty neural heat capacity without risk of psychic breakdown, but they will give psychic shock (passing out for 3 hours) regardless of the caster's heat. Unlimited Power Surging To say nothing of the madness and insanity of any psycasters who climbed this psycasting tree, [b] neural heat generated by Power Surging will be doubled if the caster's heat limiter is turned off. [/b] doing this also makes the psycasts generate a second simultaneous explosion with two thirds the original's damage. [b] That's on top of the damage boost from double the heat generation. [/b] Do note that higher heat generation has diminishing returns. Don't expect disabling the limiter will straight up double the damage and radius. The following demonstration shows increase in radius after disabling the limiter (the caster has 80 neural heat capacity and disabling the limiter means she would generate 160 heat for that much increase in radius, this is a very small value and would be considered very weak.
