Wanda grew up on the icy fringes of a struggling uranium mining super colony with her mother, a harsh deathly environment that demanded resilience and resourcefulness. From a young age, she displayed an uncanny ability to navigate the treacherous terrains and avoid the dangers that lurked in the shadows. Her natural agility and keen senses made her a formidable survivor, traits that did not go unnoticed by the colony's leaders. When Bartleby "Obsidian" Black VIII founded the Obsidian Expeditionary Force (OEF) following the successful reverse-engineering of the HK tank from the ancient VHS tapes, he sought out individuals with exceptional skills to join his elite team. Wanda, with her reputation as an adept scout, was a prime candidate as recommended by the colony council. Eager to leave the frozen hardships of her cold ass colony behind and driven by a desire to explore the unknown and hefty silver pay, she eagerly accepted the invitation to join the OEF.

☠ THE SHORT STRAW EXPEDITION

During one of her early expeditions with the OEF, Wanda was tasked with scouting a series of ancient ruins rumored to hold valuable artifacts. The team encountered a hidden chamber, sealed away for centuries, emanating an eerie aura. Ignoring the growing sense of dread, Wanda pressed on, driven by her insatiable curiosity. Inside, she discovered a sarcophagus adorned with cryptic symbols and intricate carvings. As she opened it, a dark force was unleashed—a vampiric entity that had been imprisoned for millennia. The creature attacked, infecting Wanda with its ancient curse before dissipating into the shadows. Her team managed to rescue her, but it was too late; the transformation had begun.

Wanda's transformation into a vampire was a nightmarish experience all from within an OEF Cell. She struggled with the ravenous thirst for blood. However, her training and discipline as an OEF recruit helped her to resist, as a result she developed enhanced strength, speed, and senses, becoming an even more formidable warrior.

☠ ADAPTATION AND ACCEPTANCE

Despite the initial fear and distrust from her comrades, Wanda proved her loyalty and value to the OEF time and time again. Her vampiric abilities made her an unparalleled scout, able to move swiftly and silently through the night, detecting threats long before they could pose a danger to her team. Additionally, her transformation granted her extraordinary healing abilities, allowing her to recover from grievous injuries at an astonishing rate, and improved her accuracy and handling with heavier firearms and melee weapons. Wanda's transformation and subsequent mastery of her abilities led to her becoming one of the OEF's most valuable assets. She took on the role of assault recon, leading from ahead expeditions into uncharted territories. Her presence alone was often enough to ensure whatever was endangering people was dealt with extreme prejudice, her reputation for quintuple tapping downed foes spreading quickly among those who escaped her.
