Dodge M37 ¾-ton 4x4 Cargo Truck
This is my representation of the Dodge M37 ¾-ton truck. The M37 was developed for service with the United States military as a replacement for the WWII-era Dodge WC-series. Entering service in 1951, the type saw extensive use in the Korean and Vietnam Wars in various configurations before being replaced by the Kaiser Jeep M715 and Dodge M880/M890 series. In total, roughly 115,000 Dodge M37-series trucks were produced between 1951 and 1968.
For this project, I tried to follow a similar design ethos to my M35 2½-ton truck, where I replicate the external appearance, scale, and proportions of the real vehicle as closely as possible while simplifying its handling characteristics (read: idiot-proof). This thing was quite the pain to make, but I’m happy with how it turned out, so hopefully you guys like this!
If you can’t figure out how to open the doors or tailgate, check the last picture in the image gallery.
Features:
- Seating for 7 (bring your friends!)
- Spare wheel (nonfunctional, but surprisingly tasty)
- Four wheels (most of the time)
- Front-mounted winch (Nonfunctional due to congressional budget cuts)
- Two headlights + horn (perfect for bullying the poor Prius 8 inches front of you)
- 0-60?: No
- Gas mileage: What?
I started this project back in January 2024, and it finally sees the light of day again lmao
