About:
This mod fixes 2 issues with rimworld surgery:
- All surgeries have a minimum 2% chance of failure, no matter how good everything is.
- When surgery fails, the surgeon just stabs their patient like a maniac.
Features:
- Surgery success chance now can reach 100%.
- When surgery fails, damage from failure will be limited to a single body part.
[list]
- In most cases, that is the part that was being operated on or the body part the operated part is attached to (if the part being operated on is missing).
- If a surgery doesn't target a particular bodypart, the damage will be dealt to the core part of the body (the torso for humans and most animals).
- If a bodypart is destroyed by damage but the bodypart is in good condition (above 75% max health), damage will be reduced, so the bodypart persists.
[*] Surgery outcomes have also been changed:
- Surgery with complications
[list]
- Low probability.
- Deals 10 damage.
- Despite this, the operation is successful unless the damage destroys the part that was being operated on.
[*] Minor failure
- Very high probability.
- Deals 10 damage.
[*] Catastrophic
- Low probability.
- Deals 20 damage.
- Causes an infection.
