C.S. Dauntless, HSCT-15, completed in 2003 is the 15th ship in the Amada class line-up and the first second generation Amadas. Dauntless is a hydrofoil Turbine ship or High Speed Cargo Transporter (HSCT).
Like its predecessors, Dauntless has a carrying capacity of 12, 8u containers, and is by no means large, however, featuring 4 Powerplants instead of the 2 in the previous generation, This Vessel achieved an insane 400+ knots top speed, assuming good enough weather condition.
The list of design changes also included a redesigned Bow and Superstructure reducing air resistance, and an enlarged fuel tank, to support the additional powerplants.
In a highly publicized event, The Dauntless crossed the English channel in just a little over 4 minutes and a half, smashing the previous record set by the first generation Amada class, C.S. Harpalion in 1996.
