WL-115(A) "In Stride" Flying Boat
History
The WL-115 was designed in 1935 to a specification of lightweight, long-range flying boat for use in the utility and patrol role.
Initially built without landing gear, the design was later iterated- WL-115(A)- with tricycle landing gear. While designed as a patrol bomber, WL-115s were used for Search and Rescue, VIP transport, Antisubmarine Warfare, and Night Raiding with torpedoes, bombs and mines.
They were used by every branch of the US forces, as well as in Australian and Canadian air forces, and continued seeing use long after their obsolescence as coastal patrol, rescue, and water bombing aircraft.
"In Stride" was the name of the leading aircraft in a prolific anti-shipping WL-115 squadron, the nose art is a stylized text.

About the Project
The Pacific Front is a Alternate History Project about the time from 1940s through to the 70s in a time of turmoil, war and desperation. It focuses on the countries around the pacific ocean, like the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Russia, China and a lot more. All the the project vehicles are fictional in nature and have their own story, lore and design. The Projects creations have a tendency for high fidelity, decoration and multi crew operation.
