L-12 Marten
History
Introduced by Canada in 1975, the L-12 Marten shifts Canadas army from simple troop carriers to true infantry fighting vehicles. Its diesel-electric transmission gave it excellent acceleration and speed. Designed to support infantry in direct combat, the Marten was heavily armed with a 23mm M56 autocannon, a rapid-firing 7.62mm machine gun, and a roof-mounted anti-tank missile with a powerful HEAT warhead.
In service, the Marten proved to be flexible. Infantry squads valued its ability to suppress enemy positions before dismounting, while its missile capability gave it a fighting chance against heavier armoured threats. However, its advanced systems required careful maintenance, and in harsher environments the electric components occasionally failed.

Further Notes
-it gets a diesel electric drive. The electric drive only enables if the dual drive switch is enabled (its a push to toggle, the indicator shows if its enabled) and if the main engine runs at high enough RPM to feed the generators
- Aiming is Touchscreen
- Transmission is fully manual, hold keybard 1 while shifting gears!
- engine bay
you have to hold down the external button and the lock the hatch open you have the flip the switch on the inside
disabling the switch lowers the hatch again
engine in the middle, battery on the right side, clutch and generator in the front to repair. To recharge incase the electrics run out there is a electric connector in the back of the engine bay
- to missile guidance system:
its radar guided, but needs significant elevation to start
put the lower crosshair line on the target at 2nd or 3rd zoom level (depending on distance), ONLY then enable the missile guidance switch
it gives you 10 seconds to launch the missile before it resets itself and starts an equally long downtime to cool down again
this doesnt have a gauge, you just have to trust your own timing (if you disable it before that it resets quicker)
you then hold down the MASTER button to arm the launch and then press the Missile Ignition to actually fire the missile
and then pray its not a dud and its elevated high enough to not strike the ground

The Pacific Front is a Alternate History Project about the time from 1940s through to the 70s in a time of turmoil, war and desperation. It focuses on the countries around the pacific ocean, like the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Russia, China and a lot more. All the the project vehicles are fictional in nature and have their own story, lore and design. The Projects creations have a tendency for high fidelity, decoration and multi crew operation.
