FV Skagensild - Hydrofoil Trawler and Crabber
The Skagensild is a small dock fishing vessel capable of trawling effectively at about 50 miles per hour. Full speed is about 160 mph, but the nets cannot really stay in the water at that speed. It's nice to be able to get to where the fish are at those speeds though. It also has a crab trap you can drop off before you head out to trawl, and pick up on your way back.
In the cabin, the left hand seat controls the boat and the right hand seat controls the nets and crane. Pretty easy to use, but you should generally have the foils lowered any time you are stopped and have the rigging deployed or are trying to use the crane, as the boat is quite top heavy and can lean uncomfortably. Putting the foils down totally solves that problem. The dock thrusters are on any time the key is off or throttle is at 0. Forward/back with W/S, turn in place with A/D, strafe with </> arrows.
Net is basically the maximum size that a single net can be made in the small dock, but of course it's nowhere near the size large dock nets can get. But, it's a good size. Cargo holds a bit over 400 fish/crabs, way more than I've ever bothered to catch. The blue gauge in the top right of the bridge show the fill level of the nets and cargo hold. The cargo deck is very low, which is actually a bit of a problem when trying to sell the fish.
Crab trap deploys if you drop it in water, auto retracts if you connect to the float. Light turns red when it deploys, yellow if it's half full, green if it's full. To pick the crab trap up, make sure you turn off the deck mags.
