The Dead Man's Switch - Experimental Caseless Weapon(G11 Series - Modified Version)
This is a CE-Only unofficial expansion mod for DMS. Compatible with Muzzle Flash.
Adds fictional upgraded variants of the G11K2 caseless assault rifle and LMG11 light machine gun, based on HK (Heckler & Koch) designs.

The G11K3 is equipped with a 40x46mm underbarrel grenade launcher. In-game, it retains the G11’s signature ultra-high burst fire rate (1800 RPM in-game) and a lower full-auto rate (450 RPM in-game), while increasing magazine capacity from 45 to 50 rounds.
No manual RPM adjustment is needed—the G11K3 automatically switches between burst-fire (1800 RPM) and full-auto (450 RPM) modes.
Due to RimWorld’s tick system, RPM values cannot include decimals (e.g., 1.1), so these rounded numbers are an imperfect representation of real-world performance.
The LMG11K2, meanwhile, is a light machine gun variant with a bipod, firing at 600 RPM and carrying 300 rounds. I’ve also included an automated turret version of the LMG11K2—a small testbed for secondary ammo functionality, featuring a 150+150 round capacity. ;)

Neither design was particularly successful and underbarrel grenade launcher(UGL) in particular blatantly contradicts the G11's original design philosophy, as RimWorld’s combat environment isn’t well-suited for such small-caliber weapons. Thus, the 4.73x33mm caseless development program ended before evolving into a new firearm family, though these predecessors helped pave the way for the later 5x50mm caseless project.

As I'm not particularly knowledgeable about individual infantry weapons, some odd design choices may have slipped in. Feedback is always welcome!

Below is the real-world LMG11 prototype structure. Since many people are unfamiliar with this light machine gun, I've included some reference images here:

The LMG11 also features an extremely complex mechanism, with its rotary bolt system incorporating three separate chambers.

The LMG11's ammunition is arranged perpendicular to the barrel, requiring a 90° rotation before feeding into the chamber. The proposed design features a 300-round capacity.

The LMG11 employs a rather unorthodox reloading method—inserting an entire 300-round ammunition block directly into the stock.
