The S.S john was made in britan in 1919-1920, in 1921 she was sold to a company on the west coast. As she was moving there she rammed a small moterboat damaging her, but she when on, causing 2 people to die in the boat. After that she moved cargo from japan and china for 18 years, in 1939 she was used to transport troops to defend US claims in asia. After that she moved war material for the rest of the war, spotting and helping in the sinking of a float plane. After the war she was moved to new york for another 10 years. in 1949 she was revamped and moved back to the pacific, trading with japan again. Then in march 3rd 1971 after 50 years of service, she caught fire after a piece of her cotton cargo set alight, she burned until she sank 2 hours later, the 3 crew members who got out of the sinking ship were rescued 3 days later.
