Anti Chaff Missile Guidance Computer (ACMGC)[Pursuit]
Butterman2015 proudly introduces the Anti Chaff Missile Guidance Computer!!! (Pursuit)
What does it do?
The computer takes radar data from any type of radar and filters it to find real targets and ignoring chaff, it then uses the "most real data" to home in on the target by sending a signal to the fins.
How big is the controller, and what connections does it have?
The controller is 1 by 2 and takes TWO composite nodes one in one out.
What is needed to make this work for me?
1: You need to have a missile with a stable fight path and proper balancing (center of mass)
2: For best results the layout should look something like this.
Missile Radar > Warhead > Controllers / logical blocks that suit your needs > Fins > Fuel > Fins > and Rocket Booster
How should the Fins be set up?
3: Front Fins Directional Arrows NEED to be facing positive to the right and positive upwards, while the rear ones should be opposite to the forward ones!!!
What kinds of targets can this system engage, and which ones will it struggle against?
4: This guidance computer uses PURSUIT guidance to home in on its target meaning it follows its target based on line of sight. A missile using this system is expected to hit ground and naval targets 100% of the time given good line of sight; however fast/moderate moving airborne targets can evade the missile with little to no evasive maneuvers. The Missile is best used vs aircraft from a rear aspect shot; furthermore, during testing it was concluded that side aspect shots can sometimes result with an ideal tail chase scenario. (Not Ideal For Air)
(HIGHLY RECOMMEND USING A PROXY FUSE OR VT FUSE FOR AIR TARGETS)
Currently I'm trying to make a version that integrates a form of PN guidance that allows the missile to lead moving targets. If your able to help me in any way it would be greatly appreciated.
