This aircraft is part of Airforce, Marine, and Naval Air Squadrons. The Particular aircraft is for the pilot (Major) Ciaravino; he just got back into action from his downing in the Battle of Guadalcanal in the Pacific Theater.
Operating Procedure
Takeoff:
- Flip "System" and "Backlight" switches (Left Side Rear)
- Flip "Nav Lights", "Strobe Lights", and "Cockpit Lights" switches if needed (Right Side Front)
- Flip "Engine", "Air Intake Pumps", and "Fuel Pump" switches and set throttle below 0.1
- Taxi to runway using "Prop Pitch" control (up/down)
- Line up on runway
- Set "Prop Pitch" to 0 and toggle on "Brake" (1)
- Throttle UP to 100%
- Set "Prop Pitch" to 1 and toggle off "Brake" (1)
Attacking:
- Toggle off "Pitch Level"
- Flip "Master Arm", "Hud Power", and either "Centerline Pylon Arm" or "Arm 50's" switches
- Find Target and point plane in the right heading
- Raise Flaps fully
- Start Pitching down (w)
- Flip "Airbrake" switch
- Press "Fire" (Space) to Fire selected weapons
- Pull UP (s) and Flip off "Airbrake" switch
Landing:
- Lower Flaps to full down ("3")
- Flip on "Landing Lights"
- Set Throttle to no less then 75%
- Toggle off "Pitch Level"
- Toggle "Brakes" when on the ground
