The josh james was made in france in 1897, she was sold to the mach lines in 1898 after a ramming with the dock. She was used to bring people from central america to new york city. For 12 years she brought over 7000 people on her decks. After that she was sold to the merch trasnports and carried people on a simular path, but she was not well maintained. As the night of june the 6th 1913 her boilers exploaded, taking the ship down with 15/19 people on board.
