“Why haven't you finished the last section of the chemfuel pipeline? All the materials are in place, we can't take off until it's built, and raiders will be here in a few hours!”
“Well, it's in tight corner and I'd have to contort myself myself awkwardly to work on it.”
“So how did you get in there to build the power line?”
“I contorted myself awkwardly to work on it. Oh, I see. Yeah. I'll go build that fuel line before the raiders arrive.”
Vanilla Rimworld allows you to build power conduits from a corner, which is essential for building when walls form a cross and very helpful in the tight confines of a gravship. But what about all the modded pipes and wires you'd like to run through your walls? You could wait for each modder to update their Defs one by one... or you could install this mod and make everything build-able through corners.
No more removing gravship hull sections just to place an extra segment of nutrient paste pipe in an awkward corner!
As a side effect this includes being able to build through diagonal gravship walls made with non-connecting wall sections and cosmetic angled pieces, as well as being able to squeeze around the edges of move-blocking structures to place wall lights from a corner.
WARNING: Raiders can also contort through diagonal gaps to reach things, but they will set them on fire instead of repairing them. If you rely on non-connected diagonal walls for defense and use this mod then you're going to have a bad time, so build your diagonal external walls with connected segments!
FAQ
Don't I need formal engineering sign-off and regulatory approval before drilling a hole in the wall of a gravship?
Nope! There is no possible way that drilling a bunch of poorly planned holes in the thing that keeps all the air inside your spaceship could possibly go wrong.
