Description
Tania is a classic 13.75m by 5.25m crab trawler with a 3m beam, available for just $40,000. Powered by a reliable 4-cylinder Ford marine engine producing 120hp, she cruises comfortably at 15 knots and can reach a top speed of 20 knots.
Built in New Zealand during the 1960s, Tania has a proud history of working the coastline, spending many years crabbing around the country’s waters. On deck, she’s practical and sturdy, while her 3m by 3m cabin provides a simple but functional space with a table and bed for rest between hauls.
Equipped with GPS, a depth sounder, and heading hold, she’s ready to navigate with confidence. Whether traversing the rivers and islands around Sawyer Island or heading out along the coast, Tania offers the ideal balance of size, capability, and character for your next crabbing adventure.

Starting the boat
First, switch on the battery circuit located by the bed. From there, turn the key and the engine should start. It has a W/S throttle lever system, but you can also use E/Q to operate it manually.
