History:
SS Phoenix was originally laid down as Republic, but do to an on-going war, her construction had been put on hold. She sat awaiting completion for several years, up until the end of the world conflict. Due to the need for ships toward the end of the war, her construction resumed and finished within the final months, and she also received a brand new name. She never saw much service other than ferrying troops. Post war, Phoenix had been assigned the role she was originally intended for: A ferry service across the Sawyer Islands. Her and her running mate Antares ran this scheduled service twice a week. Phoenix was deemed a massive success, other than her one issue: she sat lower in the water than intended. (This issue would lead to her demise) Several years after being broken in, Phoenix was sailing a regularly scheduled voyage. The weather had turned for the worse, and waves washed on her forecastle. Visibiliy had been greatly reduced, and without knowing, she had struck into some rocks off the sawyer coast. Sitting low in the water resulted in mass amounts of water pouring into her side and over her decks, and, Within minutes, Phoenix foundered. Her surviving passengers and crew were retrieved by Antares. Some say that Phoenix had been carrying valuable cargo full of gold and gems, but nobody has ever been successful to retrieve her supposed riches.
