Relics are a little more useful.
When a pawn equips any relic weapon, they get a small mood bonus. If the relic matches their Ideoligion, they get an additional, slightly larger bonus.
Pawns of the matching Ideoligion will react more favorably to Pawns wielding relics of their Ideoligion.
