These beautiful, long-eared children always seem to be found without parents. People who take them in find that they eat a lot, sleep a lot, and barely seem to age. Few can find it in themselves to resent the cost of raising these children, as their natural charm endears them to all but the hardest of hearts.

These hulking, aggressive carnivores get their ironic name for being the adult form of the fey and delicate Changeling children. Antisocial and thick-headed, they bear little resemblance in appearance or demeanour to the young. Their endless appetites are not diminished, but finally pay off in size, speed and brute strength.

Compatibility
1.6 only. In 1.5, this xenotype is included in the base mod Cyanobot's Genes.
As noted above, several modifications are made to the genome based on the presence of other mods. None of these are required to play with the xenotype. Personally I recommend Outland - Genetics for the toxic spray and enhanced cosmetics.
Generation
You can control the factionless (beggars, transport pod crashes, etc) spawn rate of both changelings and fairies (children spawn as changelings, adults as fairies) with a slider in the mod settings. Default is rare.
A second slider controls an additional chance for any "foundling" child pawn generated in incidents and quests (defined by reference to pawnKinds Refugee, SpaceRefugee, Beggar, and WildMan) to generate as a changeling. Default is 10%.
If you use something like Xenotype Spawn Control you can also add changelings and fairies to other factions as you please. Note that when an adult tries to generate as a changeling they will immediately become a fairy, and vice versa for children.
