The FV Northerner is a 13.75 meter crab fishing boat built by Fred Whole Marine ship building out of Alberta, dont ask how. She provides a stable working platform for shallow crabbing with spotlights, Fred Whole Marine crane. TO LAUNCH AND RECOVER POTS
STEP 1
Take a pot, attach it to the crane and lower it to the seabed.
Step 2
Attach a bouy to the pot and let it go.
TO RECOVER
STEP 1
take the bouy and tie it down, then take the rope anchor connecting it to the pot and attach it to the winch.
STEP 2
Real in the pot and store it.
