The Escuaban Navy was largely disbanded when the Hedrain Confederacy announced they would be taking the Independent island of Putiga by force, leading to the Putigian war. Escuabar scrambled to design an effective multirole naval combat platform, first resulting in the Borg-Class frigate. It was decently designed, though the original variants had only one engine and were quite slow, in addition to being horribly unmaneuverable. Nonetheless, it was deployed to thwart the Hedrainian Navy and take control of a weak Putiga for itself.
During the war, 30 Borg-Class vessels were built. 23 were sunk, and only two survive today as Escuaban Coast Guard ships.
