LowStar C9004 Jupiter Soft field

Thanks for being interested enough to click on this mod, I hope you like what you see. Check the change notes for information on what's updated during the development process. ⚠️ DISCLAIMER ⚠️ the thumbnail is guaranteed to be the final version of the plane, That cannot be said for the other images, Those other images shown are almost identical but may be slightly different, but that doesn't change what you get in this mod. This is the LowStar C9004 Jupiter Soft field. I made this because I thought that I might be able to make a good cargo plane now that's up to your own interpretation but I think I did a pretty good job. LORE: In the mountainous region of eastern North America where STOL (Short Takeoff and Landing) aircraft were common place even popular some may say but for one man he thought they were too small for what was really needed, He thought what America needed was something budget friendly, something reliable, something dependable like a Toyota, So he decided to make a company to make these large size budget aircraft and this company was called LowStar. Notes: If you see a warning sign look at it and there will be a message for you, This aircraft is budget friendly costing only 130K so it's creative mode friendly, This aircraft can hold a ton of cargo for it's size (I did this by not putting in any design details such as rails that's also why it's so cheap) Loading Checklist: Turn on Cargo Area Master, Set All levers to their maximum setting, Set (Loading Tilt) to -0.6, Turn on (Loading Lights) and (Cargo Area Lights) Load cargo, Tie down cargo using winches and hardpoints, Set (Loading Tilt) to 0, Set all levers to their minimum, Turn off Cargo Area Master. Engine Checklist: Fuel pumps ON, Engines 1-4 masters ON, Throttle to 10-15 Engine start 1/4, Engine start 2/3, The engines will start around 30 RPM Pre-Taxi Checklist: Turn on Avionics, Turn on all lights, Set dome lights to desired setting. Taxi Checklist: Use Left and right Arrow keys and use brakes when needed, Turn off brake toggle (blue toggle on right side of cockpit), Use buttons 1 and 2 to put individual brakes on (they are reset buttons so they won't stay on), Taxi to runway of your choosing, (pick the runway that goes into the wind so if wind is coming from the north you takeoff towards the north). Takeoff Checklist: Set (Gear UP/DOWN) to 1, Taxi to runway and get on centerline, Put throttle to Full, When reach around 90 knots pull up, When above ground put throttle to around 40-50, Put gear control to -1 (this will also control the front landing gear so don't put the gear up when on the ground) Landing Checklist: Set (Gear UP/DOWN) to 1, Set throttle to less than 40 but more than 15, When above the runway set throttle to 15 and flare when close to the ground, After landing set gear to 0, Taxi using the Left and Right arrow keys and if needed use brakes and throttle to assist with taxi. Specifications: Tri gear, 4 turboprop jet engines ( max rpm is around 5-6k but full power is about 4k), Tri-split rear doors for maximum loading area, 1 deployable ramp for people, 1 deployable side ramp for small vehicles such as an ATV, 2 large winches at front of loading bay, 2 small winches at back of loading bay for securing cargo down, 4 roof winches (above red pad) for securing small vehicle, 4 floor winches with the same purpose as the roof winches, A COMPLETELY CUSTOM AIRSPEED INDICATOR (it's just 3 pivots in a line with a pipe on the end with a camera in front of it because I'm lazy and didn't want to learn how to use a LUA script or take one off the workshop) if you want to see how it works it's just behind the front landing gear compartment just use free cam in builder. Weird things; Instead of a traditional landing gear setup this uses Huge tank track pieces because it would spread the weight across a wider area than traditional gear hence the "Soft field" in the name. This plane much like a C130 it can fly with 2 engines maybe 1 but that's a little bit of a stretch because of landing you can't as easily put in enough rudder input to keep it straight when you're less than 70 or so knots. This also has the HORRIBLE QUALITY of a fuel tank inside of the belly of the aircraft, Now this is a great thing it's actually better than wing tanks because it stores a TON of fuel and makes a flat load floor easy. The problem with this is if you get damaged from for example anti air, If you get hit in the belly you don't have more than 2 or so minutes before your fuel tank leaks out all of the fuel and you start careening into the ground with no way to recover, For this reason if I make a military version I'll probably add in wing tanks so if the main body of the plane gets hit you still have fuel. It also has a Diesel generator for if you are loading a lot of stuff and don't want to use jet fuel. (the fuel filler for the generator is on the front right side of the fuselage. The JET fuel tank port if located on the front side of the left main landing gear (it's a vibrant color you can't miss it) There's also a maintenance room for servicing the technology in the nose of the aircraft (entrance is to the left of the pilot entrance door). Positives: This plane only costs 130K so it can be gotten fairly early in career mode, It's fairly easy to land just keep airspeed above 70 and put throttle to 0 when above the runway, Both pilots can fly the plane at the same time using a microcontroller that adds up both inputs and puts out the total, It has a toggleable brake IT'S BLUE TURN IT OFF BEFORE TAXI IT'S ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE COCKPIT. Try this out and it may find it's way into your fleet! And thank you for subscribing it may not seem like a big deal to you but the support means so much to me!
