During the early days of vehicle development, car enthusiasts would compete against one another in races, one known as Meier Crosscountry was considered one of the hardest tournaments, it envolved competitors having to race across the entirety of Meier, with one stop to refuel through the whole track, only the boldest would even dare taking part of Meier Crosscountry. One of these men, Abelard Carlus Dallium, a recently graduated in mechanical engineering, decided he wanted to take part of the in the race. Abelard opted to make a small truck, packing a T-6 engine capable of delivering 40 horsepower. Unlike most competitors, Dallium wasn't a rich man, having to make his truck using spare parts and scraps of metal he could find. By the year of 1941, Carlus managed to burn through nearly all of his savings, but the effort was worth it, his small truck was complete, while not the fast nor the most beautiful, it was finished just in time for the task ahead, crossing Meier in the 23th edition of the tournment next year. While the young racer was making his machine, officers at Altioria were trying to figuring out how to use the mobility of the newly comissioned armored vehicles, they then decided to look for inspiration in the form of the young engineers daring their shots at success. As such, officials were secretly sent to all racing competitions to observe how each driver would use the mobility they had at hand. One of these competitions was none other than Meier Crosscountry 1942. As the time had come, all the competitors lined up at Warner Docks, when the signal was given, all charged in chasing the glory that awaited them. Many fell before the halfway mark, either due to overheating problems or passing in out in the harsh desert. Abelard and his little scrap machine kept running far beyond at was expected, impressing bypassers, including both the army officials presents at the event. As the race came to a conclusion, only 3 racers stood between the finish line and 10km of mountanous terrain. Carlus in third, saw the second place unable of climbing the steep terrain, being quickly overtook by him and his little truck. Now in second and less than 0.5 seconds behind the first place, Abelard charged in as both racers begun to suffer in the muddy terrain of Gustav Iland, the first racer thought his car could withstand the mud, but it was quickly sunk by it. The young engineer had finally done it, he finished the race, or at least, he thought he had finished, the soft terrain was too much, even for his scrappy truck, getting stuck just 150 meters ahead of his opponent. This was it, the race was finished, no winners were drawn. As the last of the racers left their vehicles, 2 figures approached Abelard, impressed with his peformance, the two men revealed to be the Altiriorian officers and were there to make an offer, Abelard would be given the tools and resources needed to produce his small trucks exclusively to the military for the next decade. Dallium gadly accepted the offer, founding what would be known as Delarium Automotives. Between the years of 1942 all the of 1952, Delarium would produce 97852 CVU-42 Dalliums for the army, releasing the model for civilian use in 1955, with some a few of the contraced trucks produced being available for sale, albeit at a steep price.
