With 90 of these vessels in its fleet, the Hedrain Confederacy's navy was considered the best in the world at the beginning of the Putigian War. Specifically, the Fache-Class was considered state of the art corvette design when it debuted three years before the war. It was lightly armed, but relatively fast and maneuverable, especially compared to its contemporaries. It was effective, but not as much as the Hedrain Navy hoped for due to its minimal armament, and eventually it needed to be either refit with more guns or replaced with a more combat ready platform.
Of 90 ships originally built, 51 were sunk during the war, with the rest being captured, sold, or scrapped. Only 3 remain in Hedrain Navy service today.
