The S.S john was a cargo ship built in the US in 1930 which she transported cargo from the west to the east for 10 years, only having a little accident when a small cruising boat rammed her, killing 2 of the 3 people on the smaller boat, leaving just a small scratch in the hull. in 1940 she was bought by the US to transport war time supplies to Britan, being outfitted with a deck gun. in 1941, she was on her 3rd crossing when her group got attacked, being damaged by a ship next to her exploding she was just able to make it to her port. She was repaired by late 1941 and made 2 more safe crossings. in mid 1942 she was attacked by aircraft and was heavily damaged in the attack, just being able to transport her cargo off to another ship, being sunk only an hour after due to a bomb hit in the forward deck taking 1 of her crew, the deck gun operator, down with her, and the rest of her crew, 4, were able to be moved to another ship safely.
