Generator Mode - Find yourself equipping your Mako with a lot of power hungry gear? Easy!
When you're pulled up to your next boat fire just tap the space bar - that will click your Mako into neutral and over drive the generator. For enough power to keep just about anything powered on a simple idle.
In addition to those things that are wired directly to the helm, the instrument panel also hosts some essential equipment for any type of ship.
X and Y Coordinates - displayed on the left side of the instrument panel - For those of you who are tired of getting lost in career mode, now you don't have to!
Gauges - All vitals are monitored on the instrument panel, such as
Battery Condition
Engine RPM
Speed in Knots
Generator Output
Engine Temperature
Depth of Water
Fuel in Litres
Compass
Litres Per Second Fuel Economy
Average Litres Per Second for life of boat
Auto Pilot Mode - Every Mako is equipped with an easy to use, but very powerful advanced LUA driven Autopilot. This autopilot is unique in that it follows a pre-set course to be followed almost exactly. Tired of being blown off course with your standard GPS autopilot. You won't have to worry about that in a Mako! This Autopilot takes your boats current coordinates and draws and imaginary line between them and the coordinates you enter into the keypad. The boat then uses its advanced functions to keep you on course. If you turn the autopilot off and deviate from the path, and turn it back on, the boat will drive itself back to the line your originally set and continue on. Use is very easy.
Open your map and add your desired waypoint.
Open the keypad, paste in your waypoint coordinates.
Press "Write AutoPilot Path to CPU" this draws the line from the vessels current position to your desired position. It will remember this until you write a new path.
Turn the autopilot on.
In addition to that, the vessel will begin slowing down when it nears the waypoint and stop when it arrives.
Refueling - Your new Mako is equipped with 2 refueling connections. You have your choice between using a Hose or a fluid connector to refuel. You can also use these ports to pump fuel out of the tanks as well. Just press the appropriate button for Fuel in or Fuel out and either connection will work for both. Hose included!
Servicing and Maintenance - There is a maintenance hatch at the stern of the vessel that serves as an access point for making repairs on the water. This hatch will give you access to your engine, generator, rudders etc. No more needed to swim in shark infested waters to patch that hole from the rock you hit. Just go down below and patch it up from the inside.
Of course Mako vessels are also equipped with the bare bones essentials of basic S.A.R. In and around the wheelhouse you will find
Fire Extinguisher
Welding Torch
Defibrillator
First Aid Kids X 3
Heater - Every Mako is equipped with a heater for your cold weather operations. There is a button on the left side of the instrument panel to enable and disable it.
