NOTE: theres no way to set age range to children in the scenario editor (that I can find) so you'll have to make sure all 6 of your starting characters are children. Made for Biotech but could be played without it if you start with teens instead? Overall a pretty hard start though.
A man in black will appear at the start of the game to help take care of your rag-tag group of children, so you don't need to add an adult into your starting group.

Times are hard on the rimworlds, and sometimes there just isn't enough food or silver to sustain everyone in a town. The weakest are always the first to go, and for the six of you, your families have decided that they just don't have the resources to look after you any more.
You were left with whatever you had in your pockets, a handful of meals to keep you going, and one of the town dogs that refused to leave your side. After all the adults had gone and things were looking rough, someone new stumbles across your little group and, against their better judgement, decides to take you under their wing. Perhaps together you can keep yourselves safe.
