The D-AHXX "Zephyros FGR1" is a tiltrotor attack helicopter developed by ☆GASco. It looks an ordinary tiltrotor but it's agile, very maneuverable, flexible, multi role, complex, and most importantly, very advanced. It features High off bore sight fox 2 semi chaff resistant air to air missiles that can be guided by datalink and has last coordinate targeting as well as other weaponry such as a flexible 20mm m197 turret, long range anti chaff ATGMs, and lofting laser ATGMs. It also features an HMD, dual HMD slaved semi pulse doppler(its not truly PD, it uses software-based motion filtering called speed gating) radar for behind terrain targeting and normal targeting, basic radar NCTR, a laser targeting system with full displays, IFF, Datalink, RWR, and limited ECM. It also has infinite range and is quiet in longer distances than regular jet engine helis. Not only that, it has limited tilt rotor thrust vectoring during plane mode flight which is suitable in a dogfight along with its air to air missiles.
The Zephyros is also controlled by a modern Flight Control System along with a fully digital modern FADEC controls. The FCS can be switched on and off for different battlefield situations. It can withstand up to 23mm hits. The Zephyros can now link to an AWACS for datalink awareness.
Why name it "FGR"? Because that's its role, it destroys aircraft, ground targets and does reconnaissance at the same time.
Reminder: The Zephyros is a missile slinger, meaning it is meant to use missiles at long distances rather than guns or any unguided munitions at short distances. If you run out of missiles, RTB. It can fire missiles in standoff long ranges.
The Zephyros has an optional add-on rack of 3x SACLOS ATGMs to replace the regular laser missiles which requires manual installation.
