CSS Andersonville (Sinkable)

CSS Andersonville Background: The CSS Andersonville was built in England in 1862 for the Confederacy to use as a commerce raider. She was very successful as a blockade runner and in direct combat with Northern ships, earning quite the reputation among sailors on both sides. In early 1865, she came into contact with a larger Northern warship, and after putting up a fierce fight, was finally sunk when her magazine suffered a direct hit. She sank quickly and much of her crew went down with her. To Start: 1. Make your way down to the boiler room using either the ladderway located towards the very front of the ship, or the ladderway directly in front of the helm. 2. Turn the key on both boilers to ignite them and wait for pressure to build. 3. After a few minutes she should be ready to go, make your way back to the helm and you will see the controls on the port side of the helm. To Sink: Magazine Explosion (Fast): On the stern side of the funnel base, there is a lockable button. Simply turn the key and press the button. After a few seconds, there should be an explosion and the ship will quickly take on water and sink. Scuttle (Slow): 1. Make your way down to the pump room (located aft of the engine room, down the ladder and then forward of the magazine) 2. On either side of the pump room there are three seacocks, numbered 1-3 (front through aft), open your choice of valves for however you want the ship to sink (all port for a list sink, 1-2 on both sides for an even forward sink, etc.) The CSS Andersonville is visually based on the CSS Alabama of the Civil War
