VVE – Drop Pod Orbital Upgrade
This is a simple XML-only patch. It enables the Frog, Toad and Goliath drop pods from Vanilla Vehicles Expanded and Vanilla Vehicles Expanded - Tier 3 to travel to the Odyssey orbital layer.
Important notes
• Bug warning: when targeting orbital POIs, “drop at edge” can cause the drop pod to land where there is no ground. Until this is fixed, always use “drop at center.”
Requirements
• RimWorld 1.6 (Odyssey)
• Vanilla Vehicles Expanded (and its dependencies, e.g., Vehicle Framework)
Compatibility
• XML-only; safe to add mid-save. Removing mid-save is probably safe, just make sure that no drop pods are flying.
• Affects only the Frog, Toad and the Goliath (if VVE - tier 3 vehicles is present); other vehicles unchanged.
Roadmap
• May add extra chemfuel costs for reaching orbit.
• Considering a buildable “orbital upgrade” module for these pods, similar to VVE – Upgrades.
