On version 1.6, unlocking the Commonwealth faction requires both the Royalty DLC and Vanilla Expanded Framework. On versions 1.4 to 1.5, only the Royalty DLC is needed. Vanilla Expanded Framework is required for the deserter quest.
This mod assigns common tags to pawns so they spawn with standard weapons and gear. We’ve also added specific patches that integrate weapons and apparel from supported mods into Commonwealth pawns, if those mods are installed. These can be considered recommended additions that improve the overall experience.
There are four weapon mods here, and this is not limited to just them, but they are prime examples of a few recommended additions this mod supports:

- Quest is added when the Commonwealth Empire exists.
It’s pretty straightforward, similar to the Wimp Noble quest, where a child highness, such as a prince or princess, runs away from a dangerous threat. This creates a real challenge because a wimpy child cannot fight the threat alone the way a full grown wimp adult can. You’ll need to get the child to safety and quickly deal with the threat in some way.
If you succeed in completing this quest, your chosen pawn moves much closer to earning the title of Duke or Duchess within the Commonwealth’s honor system. There are a couple of perks tied to the knight title, similar to what you see in The Shattered Empire. You will have to discover those for yourself, though. We can’t ruin the fun by explaining everything.
- Quest is added when the Commonwealth Empire exists.
This one is pretty interesting. A former lieutenant of the Commonwealth comes to your colony seeking protection, but there is a catch. In exchange for shelter, raiders will start attacking your base and you will effectively become enemies with the Commonwealth Empire.
If you accept, you gain access to the former lieutenant’s knowledge of one of the Commonwealth’s duke command posts. Warning: it is heavily defended, so do not attack it right away unless your colonists have strong armor and good weapons.
Without spoiling too much, the command post is guarded by turrets, soldiers, and of course the duke, along with traps. If you manage to get through all of that, you will find plenty of resources to use, a bank packed with valuable loot that can push your game forward, and even more wealth to boost your colony, plus a few other useful things.
======> FAQ <======
QUESTION: What happens if I don't meet the dependencies for the faction?
[hr]A: You will not get the faction, but you will still get this mod’s apparel.
QUESTION: Is this mod CE compatible?
[hr]A-1: I do not know how compatible this mod is with CE. If it is not compatible, I recommend trying the CE Manual Autopatcher or Nuff's Auto-Patcher for Combat Extended.
A-2: Or you can try making your own CE patches!
