The s.s peak was made in boston in 1928 and sold to the Q&M transports. She was going from boston to europe for the next 11 years until the start of ww2. She was taken over by the US goverment and transported guns and food to britan until late 1941 when she was rammed by the s.s scott, almost sinking her. She was set adrift for 5 weeks until she was sunk by a german destroyer in early 1942, taking 3 of her 6 crew down with her.
