MULTI CAT MK 3 HV

DESCRIPTION The Multicat is a catamaran styled monohull multi-mission vessel with a focus on SAR (Search and Rescue). It fits exactly within the dimensions of the starting vessel build zone! The MK3 HV variation features a small helicopter landing pad (compatible with both of my SAR helicopter designs). Additionally, it's design has a slight cat-like appearance for a bit of fun. USE STARTING PROCEDURE: Apply some throttle using W and press space to start. The ignition key is set to on when you spawn in. To shut off the engine, turn the key (configured to shut off the engine air intake). Press RIGHT KEY to apply some propeller pitch. The engine works best at around 7.5 RPS, so depending on conditions and desired speed there are plenty of configuration options available to manage your need for speed vs. range. Throttle is set up in a DNR (Drive - Neutral - Reverse) style configuration. MANEUVERING: You can set the attitude of the vessel up and down using the UP/DOWN keys to get the vessel to plane a bit to get a bit of extra speed, weather permitting. FEATURES & SYSTEMS MEDICAL: The Multicat has a medical bed both above and below deck with ample onboard first aid equipment and plenty of additional room for any loadout you prefer. It is configured to seat 5 ambulatory passengers in addition to the two medical beds. RESCUE: The transponder locator (audio only) can be turned on via the main dashboard. There are controls in the center of the main dashboard to control the superstructure searchlight up and down. DEPLOYABLE TOWER: A unique feature of the vessel is it's deployable tower. Climbing the rear of the super structure you will find a button on the right hand side for TOWER UP/DOWN. This raises the tower towards the starboard side. This can be used to easily hop on and off the vessel at typical dock height OR to give the user some additional height at sea for increased visibility over the horizon. BOOST: The Multicat has a boost feature that activates two mid sized electric engines. There are 4 boost modes available by cycling the BOOST button on the main dash. AUTO PILOT: Activate a simple Autopilot system by pressing the AP button on the main dash. AUX TANK: There is a relatively large (for the vessel's size) auxiliary fluid tank at midships below deck that can be used to transport any liquids the user desires or to supplement the available fuel tanks. PUMP SYSTEM: An onboard auxiliary pump system provides liquid / air transport between the vessel's main and auxiliary tanks and any external tank or vessel. The system can be switched from air to liquid. Be sure to have the system in air setting if refilling diving suits. REFUELING: Fuel ports are located on both the starboard and port sides of the vessel with the Starboard (S) marked anchor allowing for filling the AUX tank. The Port (P) marked anchor is for filling the primary tanks. Aft of the port side fuel anchor is the electric recharge port marked (E) LANDING/MULTIPURPOSE DECK: The landing pad features a foldable ramp to allow a bit more landing space / cargo space. There is ample room and tie downs for two side by side ISO containers (though they will overhang and make the vessel ride quite low) It is possible to land my compatible helicopters (or any small helicopter) directly on the deck though it is often easier to land on the water (if the vehicle has floats) and winch it onboard via the aft winch with the ramp fully deployed. There are landing lights that blink in sequence to assist an airborne vessel in finding it's mark. The landing lights and ramp control are available both inside and outside the superstructure/cabin on the aft starboard part of the vessel. ACCESS: There are access hatches located in the aft of the multipurpose deck to access the engine and systems below the aft section of the vessel NOTE: This is my first build. All systems were designed by me and all LUA programming was done by me. It can no doubt use numerous improvements and is a work in progress.
