Note: In the (modfolder)\About\Skin Tones\ folder, you will find both Simple and Expanded skin tone scales. Copy the one you want to the (modfolder)\1.6\Defs\ folder to use it (use only one at a time). If you have an existing save from 1.5, use the scale that matches the version of the mod you were using before to avoid skin tone changes (Simple for Inclusive Skin Tones and Expanded for the Misc Melanin version).
Also, keep in mind that you can edit the skin tone scales yourself (both the color values and their frequency), or create your own new skin tone scale files. The scales included are simply the ones that were in the original two mods, with the Expanded/Misc Melanin scale enabled by default.
