The radio 7 was built in New York in 1922 for the ohio Co to help bounce radio signals in the Alantic for other ships to help boost their radios range. In march 1923, she saved the crew and passengers of the SS blue , saving all her crew. In 1941 she was used by the US navy to help with messages and survived the war. In may 1947 she was under tow after engine damages and the line broke near Rockland and getting stuck on rocks in the bay. 3 days later when high tide came she lifted off the rocks going adrift and sinking only 50 minutes later near lasell island.
